Trying to find financial help for fertility issues
Hi Terry, my Daughter had been trying to get pregnant for 6 yrs. and with a fertility expert for 3 years. He is a very caring doctor and has even given her a discount because of her financial situation. They bought a house before starting with the DR. They were doing ok financially before, but their insurance won’t cover most of this and their debt is building. She will be 35 soon and her insurance and husbands doesn’t cover hardly anything. Her father and i try to help as much as we can but we are on a fixed income so not easy for us. Do you know of anything that they can do. She had seen grants for other counties that they don’t live in , for Jewish people, black people ,but nothing that applies to them. It is the most heartbreaking thing to see your child go through, especially when there are no medical answers. Do you know if ther is anyplacethe can get financial help, especially grants

Gosh,this is a heartbreaking situation — though a bit out of my territory! The one thing I would say to you, is to be strong and caring — but NOT give her any of YOUR money to this cause. You will need it for yourselves, and this is her problem, much as you love her.
Again, out of my territory, but if she is so desperate to be a mother, maybe they should consider adoption? There are so many children in need.
