Uemployment for Self Employed Contractors
My husband applied for unemployment and was declined because he is self employed but I have read online that due to Cares Act that they could get a check.

Yes, he is eligible — But FIRST he has to be turned DOWN for traditional unemployment. THEN he files for PUA –the self-employment program. Check your state website for details on how to do that.
