Unemployment
Is Illinois waiving the typical 1st week waiting period for unemployment? I’ve read and heard yes but we filed last month and have already received two deposits but they did not include payment for the first week. Thank you.

Officially, your start date is the week you were laid off. There may be a quibble about a specific week — but if you don’t get your job back in the interim, you will just get an extra week at the end!
