Unemployment benefits being recalled
Unemployment is asking me to re-pay back everything I’ve collected threw Covid when I wasn’t working.

Yes, they are truly messed up. You need to respond and ask for a WAIVER, which they will give you. There should be contact information on their request. If you keep at it, they should grant the waiver — Many Illinois taxpayers who were on the PUA (self-employment) benefits have received this letter and are being harassed by IDES (assuming you live in Illinois).
If you can’t get this straightened out send an email to me at Terry@TerrySavage.com and include your full name, phone number, address, and claimant number, plus any information from the request letter. I will pass it on to IDES — though that is no guarantee it will get solved any faster!
