Unemployment Fraud age 76 and retired
I received a letter from the State of Illinois saying my request for UI was denied. It stated that I was eligible for $ 0 . I froze credit bureau reports several years ago. I am 76 years old and haven’t worked for at least ten years. Do I need to go through the outlined steps. I have not received a debit card, and if I do, I will not activate it. What else should I do?

Well, make sure your credit is still frozen. Older freezes had expiration dates! And READ your credit report to make sure there are no inquiries from a bank where a thief might have opened an online account in your name.
