Terry I am having a horrible time getting through to the Credit Bureau Companies. I’ve tried doing it online with the links you listed in the Chicago Tribune. I called Experian and was connected with Consumer information Bureau. They told me that they work with all three Credit Companies, and could offer me Identity protection for approximately $380.00. Is this a reputable company. I don’t understand how I called Experian on the phone number you listed, and I get hooked up with this company, whom by the way sound very professional and precise.. Your response is appreciated…. Daniel Everett

That will take you directly to the freeze page at each bureau.
Once your credit is frozen, no one can open new credit in your name.
Then all you have to do is watch your existing credit card and bank balances, which you can do online. You are 100% protected against fraud in those existing accounts.
