Ask Terry Questions Unemployment overpayment

Unemployment overpayment

By Terry Savage on May 16, 2020 | Wild Card

I recently receive notification from unemployment after I called to report that I may have been overpaid.

I am willing to correct this mistake by paying all of the monies back in one lump sum asasp.

I was wondering if I can be reinstated to receive my weekly unemployed insurance and the $600/per week after I reduce my hours at work (grocery store cashier). I currently get paid $8.60/per hour and I work approximately 25 hours a week. My weekly unemployment benefit was $137.00

I desperately need to receive all of money and now I have very little to support me and son.

I never want to suggest anything illegal — BUT, it is wonderful to hear that someone has been OVERpaid, not underpaid! And the most practical suggestion is to just take the money and exist — and sort it all out later.
