Unemployment restart?
Hi Terry – I hear you on WGN all the time, I was laid off due to the virus in late January, my old company relied heavily on import business from China but at the time I didn’t realize what was coming. No one has been hiring during this event so I took a temp position that I thought would last longer than 2 weeks, it ended last Friday. I can’t get through to IDES to see if I am still eligible for unemployment? Should I just try to verify next Tuesday (my normal day) any advice?

You’re still eligible for unemployment — but you have to start over with an all new claim!
It’s going to be a hassle for sure, but go for it!
