unemployment tax refund
How long do I have to wait for the IRS to send a refund for the tax I paid on the first $10,200 of unemployment 2 years ago. I filed early before the exemption was announced. I figure I am owed $2400. Should I file an amended return? Thanks for your advice now and in the past.

Don’t file an amended return. They will get around to it. And you’ll earn interest. But don’t hold your breath!!
