Value 1933 Municipal Bond?
I have 1933 “Tax Anticipation Warrant,” School District 104, Summit, Cook Co,, IL. Purchased by my grandparents, now in my possession. School District 104 still exists. Date issued Sept 1933: $36.48 “at 6% per annum?” You think it’s compounded interest? If so, it’s worth over $7K now..and growing yearly. Otherwise, not sure how to correctly calculate, but likely only worth couple hundred. I’m hesitant to ask school district to give me honest answer. At same time, don’t wanna pay an attorney $500 to review, to learn only worth $400. I have scan of document to send if needed. Anxious to hear your thoughts.

The place to start tracking down any values is at MunicipalBonds.com
But since these were just tax anticipation warrants, not muni bonds based on the full faith and credit of the issuer, I’m not sure they’re going to be worth anything! Warrants typically expire at the end of the tax collection year.
