Vanguard switch to fidelity
My company had vanguard 401k for as long as I can remember. Our company been bought by another company and they just changed vanguard to fidelity without anyone’s knowledge. Can they do this?

Yes. But they have an obligation to transfer the funds in your 40l(k) into either similar Fidelity Funds, and/or to offer an advice program from their new plan custodian. Check and I’m sure you’ll find they are offering some kind of service along these lines.
This is a good time for you to do some homework in choosing new funds for your retirement plan.
