VTI vs VOO Index funds
You have been touting the index 500 fund. Is this one preferrable to the total market index fund?
If so, under what circumstances is one better than the other?

For most people, there is little difference over the long run. The total market index includes small cap stocks, and during some periods these companies outperform. That has been the casein recent weeks. Just pick one or the other — or both — and keep investing over the long run!
