I worked for a construction employer, January through April last year and have not received my W-2. I’ve contacted him twice and he said the website crashed whatever that means. Do I keep waiting because I tried calling the IRS and they have 20 phone options and just end up kicking you off because they don’t have an option for a W-2, ? Thanks.

I would suggest adding up your deposits and including the total as income. And pay taxes on it — unless you know enough was withheld. Then if they DO report your income, the numbers wont be much out of synch. If you are later contacted by the IRS, tell them your story about not receiving a
Then call the employer and tell them that you contacted the media and they will be receiving a call about this! (If you don’t get it immediately, write back and give me the info — and I’ll give it a try, or pass it on to my contacts at the IRS if they don’t respond to me!! This is a very real obligation and they can’t get out of it!
