Will the awful Windfall Elimination Plan ever go away? I worked part-time 13 of my 20 years of teaching and over 14 years at a law firm. I get a measly $1100 per month for my pension. I will be filing soon for SS when my husband retires. So frustrating!

First of all, wait until your full retirement age to file for whatever Social Security is left over for you. And yes, there is a bill in Congress HR 82 that is gaining traction to repeal the WEP. Follow it here: https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/118/hr82/summary
