What’s going on with Illinois IDES
It took until last week with the governor announcing finally that the gig workers and self-employed could get paid starting May 11. I’ve been online and I’ve seen nothing about how to file or what to do to obtain this other than you need to be the Declined first, on unemployment.
I’ve done that And I’ve been to Klein but I see nothing on the Internet nothing on the TV news telling us how to start getting our money. There are many many many people who our waitress is busboys hairdressers who are unemployed and need this money. Have you heard anything? Thank you so much

I interviewed the director of IDES last Friday and she promised that this week — the week of May 11th — the new section for self-employed people will be open! Look for it at www.IDES.Illinois.gov. Look for the words PUA — Pandemic Unemployment Assistance.
