Widowed teacher and social security widow benefit
If you are a teacher and you spouse who works in the public sector, can the teacher collect a widow social security benefit on their spouses social security? Teachers age is now 60 but was 58 when the spouse died at age 60.

To get the maximum benefit, she really needs to wait until HER full retirement age to collect HIS full retirement benefit.
