Windfall Elimination money
I was a substitute teacher, paying into TRS for about 15 years. I am now collecting 1/2 of my husband’s social security. For the last several years 2/3 of TRS amount has been deducted from my social security payment. I have called social security and they told me I’m on the list. I’ve emailed Brad Schneider’s office for help on several occasions and have not heard back. I’ve read where 91% of eligible people have gotten the retroactive money and month additional payments. All of my teacher friends have received the money. What do I do?

Well, now they are saying they will get it all paid out by NOVEMBER! There’s nothing you can do but wait. Even Congressmen aren’t getting special attention these days.
But you should get a big check dating back to the start of 2024, when it finally arrives. So save some for taxes!
