Credit Bureaus jammed — Can’t Freeze!
I have tried several times to freeze my Equixfax credit report online and was unable to do so. The response was to call, but I don't want to give my info on the phone. How do I proceed. Please tell me how.

Yes, I know the phone lines and websites of the credit bureaus are jammed! This breach has caused quite a mess -- even before the information has been widely used. I think -- politics aside -- we can ALL agree that Congress should look into this. To write to your representatives, go to www.ContactingCongress.org. In the meantime, keep trying for the credit freeze. And keep watching your existing accounts. With info on 143 million people "in play" there is a pretty long shot that your identity will be replicated now.
