Senior living assisted living and memory care.
What is your opinion for senior living assisted living and memory care. They will take care of you u til you die and and if any money is left it goes to your family but they charge at least 2 thousand more for each month until you die and they can not kick you out if the money runs out. I just feel your children don’t have to worry about you.

Gosh, this is a tough question to answer without knowing more details. I’d need to know how much money you have now. And your age. I understand that you don’t want to be a burden on your children. But if you go into a private assisted living facility that also accepts Medicaid patients, you won’t be kicked out. And your money will last longer.
Here’s the thing: When they say they “won’t kick you out” it doesn’t mean they won’t “transfer” you do a far less desirable room on a Medicaid floor. (I know, because they wanted to do that with my grandmother!) The details are important.
I understand your desire to make plans. But I assure you, your children will worry about you anyway — if you are lucky!
I think you need to have an expert in eldercare review the alternatives. And you should have other important documents, such as a will and healthcare power of attorney. Find an elder-law attorney at www.NAELA.org
