I always keep a portion of my investments in gold stocks — as a hedge not only against inflation but global unrest. In recent weeks gold has been on a tear.  Here’s a link to an article I wrote a few months ago  –when gold was just under $1300 per ounce.  I don’t think it’s too late to buy gold stocks.
