Unemployment
I have a small Daycare business and had to close due to COVID 19. However, my staff was told that they would be paid. One staff member said her daughter applied for Unemployment for her. She is trying to cancel it. Do I still need to pay her or wait until she bring a letter. What should I do?
Terry Says
When she files, the unemployment office will check with you as to how long she worked and when she lost her job. So it would be nice of you to continue paying her as long as you can. Unless you are planning to stop paying in the next few weeks. Then she will have a head start on the application process.
