I know for sure that you can buy property in the UK as a U.s.citizen. But you might want to carefully think about all the implications of a move — and your business idea.
First, what are you going to use for health insurance when you’re there? Medicare doesn’t transfer internationally, except in dire emergency. Check out health insurance costs and aCCESS.
Second, this pandemic isn’t over –and travel will never be the same in our lifetime. So there won’t be the demand for Airbnb — AND why would you want strangers sleeping in your place?
Those are just the first two thoughts that hit my mind. There’s lots more to consider — including income taxes as a U.S. citizen — even though you are a dual citizen. You need to get some good legal advice on international relocation.
