IDES Unemployment
I am receiving unemployment right now as an independent contractor through IDES under PUA and may have a chance at some temporary work lasting only a couple of weeks at best. If I take it and then mention it during my weekly certification, do I then lose future unemployment benefits after I go back to being unemployed or worst yet, do I have to refile all over again? I can’t find any answer as to what happens when you “break the chain”. According to my IDES dashboard, I am about halfway through my current benefits per this filing.
My hope is that unemployment payments stop only for the time I take the work and then immediately resume after the work ends but I cannot find an answer to this type of situation.

You will have to file a new claim. And go through the entire process all over again. Are you sure this temp work is worth it???
