Do you know if I was unemployed from March toApril and opened a case but not paid on it can I still collect the Cares Act amount ?

You need to check back with IDES- -which can take a while. YOu “filed a case” — but did you get approved? Did you receive a “claimant number”? If not, you’ll have to start all over in the process. If you can prove you were laid off (as opposed to quitting) and ifyou earned at least $1600 in the year before that (with at least $440 coming in the “second-best” earnings quarter) then you were eligible to collect unemployment– including the $660/week federal benefit.
