7 weeks extension for unemployment Insurance benefits.

By Terry Savage on August 10, 2020 | Wild Card

Good Morning Terry,

Regarding to 7 more weeks unemployment extension.

Spoke with a staff at Mary Edly-Allen, State Representative office, Libertyvile, IL.
Told me this news is true and reapply UI.
I called to IDES and left my phone number and
they never called me back for a day and still now.

I tried online IDES and there is nothing about 7 weeks extension.
Many questions I wrote and the machine, robot’s answers had confused me:

My PEUC ( Regular state UI + Federal Stimulus $ 600.00 ) for 13 weeks extension
was exhausted on July 04, 2020. July 06, 2020 was the last day I certified.
June 08, 2020 was the last day of $$ direct deposit in my bank account.

Wold you help me how to apply the 7 weeks extension and my eligibility ?
I will appreciate your time. Thank You.

Sincerely,

Young D. Song

Terry Says

You’re in luck – if you can get through IDES.
Illinois has extended unemployment benefits for another 20 weeks during the coronavirus pandemic.

People who have already gone through the typical 26 weeks of unemployment benefits can get the 20-week extension, according to the Illinois Department of Employment Security

That’s the tough part of the extension process. Leave your name and phone number for a call back. Do it today!
