deceased stimulus payments
mother died April 2020 and i have a stim check in her name could really use it for funeral expenses and burial and also had to ship body to Baltimore Maryland amd is quite expensive. Is there any way of cashing suck check or using in any way to help with this situation. The family and I are very desperate for the funds.

I understand that. And early on, banks were willing to deposit the stimulus funds paid to families of the deceassed. But now, I think you will have a tough time getting a bank to accept this as a deposit, since the IRS has asked them not to accept checks made out to dead people — or even to their estate! You can give it a try,though.
