Unemployment
I am a preschool teacher and my school is not opening this year due to Covid. I work September through May. I applied for unemployment and they said I did not make enough money to be covered. Shouldn’t I be eligible for something?

You were required to earn $1600 in the past year and at least $440 in any quarter OUTSIDE your highest earning quarter in that period. If you qualify on that basis, then petition for a hearing. I don’t know how long it will take to get heard! Also put your name and number on the callback list. That too could take a while!
