IDES fraud report stops my benefits

By Terry Savage on December 29, 2020 | Wild Card

I have been a victim of identity fraud with iDES which has been reported to their fraud department and the FTC. This past Wednesday (12/23) was my day to certify for benefits. The IDES website will let me sign in (says login successful) but will not load the certification page. I don’t know if I am having issues because of the fraud I reported or if IDES server is down. With the news of the stimulus bill in Washington and the increase in unemployment claims this may be a coincidence because they overloaded. I have my call back message in the queue. It took them 17 days to call me back last time. I’m afraid I will be dropped for not certifying on my designated day nor thru the grace period offered. This is my 4th day of trying to certify. Do you have any ideas of what I should do next? Thank you.

IDES is totally messed up. But if you are currently collecting benefits AND reported fraud, I can understand the confusion. How did you know you were a fraud victim? That typically happens to people who are NOT collecting benefits — and suddenly receive some communication from IDES, alerting them to fraud.

I’m afraid Ican’t answer your question without more details.
