Stimulus
Both my wife & I received stimulus checks the first time instead of direct deposit. We both get Social Security direct deposited each month. We were told that we received checks because we did not have a bank account on file with the IRS. We filed taxes, but did not owe anything or receive a refund. So no bank information.
I assume we will get checks again this time, although haven’t seen anything yet.

File your 2020 return as soon as forms are available in mid-February. If you haven’t already received your new stimulus checks, ask for a credit on Line 30 of the 2020 return. But you will oprobably have it before you even file.
