The American Rescue Act and Cobra premium
Thank you for making my day and telling me the COBRA premiums will be paid by the government April 1, 2021 through September 30, 2021. My question is: Just how do we get the reimbursement from the government for each payment? It amounts to $765 for single COBRA coverage per month.

No, you don’t get it from the government. They have said the government will reimburse your former company. So be sure to check that the company is going to continue to pay premiums, on the assumption that they will be repaid by the government. The worst thing that could happen is they stop paying and your insurance lapses. So you want to see proof each month that the premium was paid and the insurance continues in force.
Corporations are wrestling with this right now, so give them another week to figure it out. IF they say they are not paying, then remind them that you will call the Department of Labor, as this is now law!!
