Phone Calls from Energy People for Gas and Electic
Dear Terry: ,How can I stop calls from electric and gas? If I have a refund, take it off my bill! I see the area codes. I had one from United Airlines, when I answered the phone it was a refund person. I now have the same person laughing when I tell them to take me off the list. Also, lately it seems to be the same person. Do they get paid for so many calls? I am smart enough not to give bank info over the phone. Help!!

When you get one of those calls simply hang up at their first word. OR, get caller ID on your phone and if you don’t recognize the number, don’t answer it! When you answer, they know there is a live person there! When you engage in even a few word discussion, they mark your number “live” and spread it to other call scammers. These are NOT the utility and airline companies calling you — they just “say” they are calling from these companies. Ignore them!!
