Lowering High Interest Rate Private Student Loans

By Terry Savage on August 19, 2023 | College Savings / Student Loans

I have cosign for 4 of my daughters Sallie Mae student loans which are in the 11% range. Can this rate be lowered and how?

Terry Says

You certainly should be able to refinance these loans — and I’m assuming these are PRIVATE loans, not Federal — since parents do not co-sign Federal Student Loans.
