Medicare
Perhaps more comment than question: I appreciate your comments on Medicare Advantage, which only makes me more nervous about renewals. I’ve been on Medicare for 8 years with my former employer’s plan as a supplement. They obviously want to encourage Advantage plans, and this year for the first time their plan will not offer drug/dental/vision/hearing benefits if my wife and I stay on original Medicare. I will be checking the resources you mentioned, but my hope is that if we do switch to Advantage this year it will not be out of the question to return to original medicare in the future.

It may very well be impossible to return to original Medicare — or at least to get a good, comprehensive supplement to Original Medicare — IF you have a health situation. Honestly, I would not switch, but instead review supplements. Right now. I suggest you contact Thom Dillon of JT Medicare Solutions ( https://www.jtmedicaresolutions.com/) to review your options for a supplement at this point. YOu can trust him completely. But act NOW so you don’t miss the window for next year!
