medicare insurance
i’m a 78 female. have medicare gap insurance. prices keep rising. now paying over $260.00 a month for AARP UHC insurance plan G . I am currently healthy with no use of Rx meds. Do i continue with medigap or switch to another medicare plan that has no monthly premium and put some $$ in a savings account for when I need to pay medical bills. thanks for any suggestions you may have

If you possibly can, please stick with Plan G. It may cost more in monthly premiums, but you could be paying nearly $7000 in out of pocket costs if you get sick and have an Advantage plan. That wipes out all the premium savings. Even worse, with Advantage plans you’re limited to their docs and hospitals — and their judgment of what treatments your plan will pay for.
