Medicare Supplements
I was listening to you on the Lisa Dent show yesterday discussing Medicare supplements. In response to a text, you whole hardily endorsed Plan F and discouraged changing to another plan .
“Tell them Terry Savage said so” I believe you told them.
The answer may not be so cut and dry.
I was on Plan F for six years before it was brought to my attention that Plan G offered the same coverage as F except G did not cover the Part B deductible. I didn’t want a deductible, so I was staying with F, until it was pointed out to me that I was paying over $700 more in annual premiums for F to save the $257 deductible (same insurance company)
I switched.
Unless I am missing something (please let me know if I am), or maybe the math changes as you age (I am over 70), people really need to compare to see if they are spending more for identical coverage (except the deductible) then they have to.
Thanks

Good point. But that has only happened recently, as insurers try to switch people out of plan F. So they’ve raised the premiums. If you were healthy, before you switched to G, you should have shopped around for a less expensive plan F.
