I have an I Bond in my Treasury Direct account. I have not set up the ID.me account yet but have 2 questions: How will my heirs be able to access my account after I have passed. The bond is under my trust, and my son and daughter are the beneficiary of my trust. Second question is if you know of any location, such as a library or community center that would help me, a senior not very computer literate, that may have a seminar on this. Thank you. Just take it step by step. I don’t know of anyone who can help — except maybe your son or daughter?
Once you have your login password to ID.me, then you should give that information to your successor trustee, along with your TreasuryDirect account number and password. Then they can access the account if you are not able.
