2nd stimulus check — bank account closed
My daughter received the first stimulus Check in her bank account. That account is now closed how can she update her information to receive the 2nd stimulus check? Can she use a netspend card or something similar to that? She received a netspend card that she didn’t request.

Receiving an unexpected Netspend card could be a sign of identity theft. She should check her credit report at www.AnnualCreditReport.com — get one from each of the three bureaus, free — and do not sign up for any protections. But check for “inquiries” from unknown lenders or banks.
She can’t do anything now to give new banking info for the second stimulus. If the check goes to a closed account they will mail it to her at the address on her most recent tax return.
