Terry
I’m a proud WGN listener and look forward to your segments
IRS just deposited $4200 into my account when past stimulus checks have only been for myself. I claim a son who’s now 20 in college and a daughter who is 18 and I am head of household but my previous stimulus checks have not included them….my last check was for the $600 and now this $4200 is for myself and my kids ($1400 x 3)
Am I being over paid this time or have I been under paid by previous stimulus checks

If over paid do I give this over payment back??

Terry Says

Neither! The original stimulus bills did not provide for dependents over 17, so you missed out. this time around they sent $1400 for EVERY dependent, regardless of age. Thus the $4200. Hope that pays some tuition bills for each of them.
