Ask Terry Questions Annuity payments

Annuity payments

By Terry Savage on October 16, 2022 | Insurance & Annuities

I want a friend bene to receive lifetime monthly payments beginning after I decide to die, per my revocable trust. I do NOT want the bene to be able to obtain a lump sum due to gambling etc. I don;t want the successor trustees to have to have to issue monthly check for 25 years, nor is there any other need for the trust to exist for that long. Likewise I don’t want a corporate trustee lawyer to be paid for 25 years for just sending checks. I understand there are restricted payout(SPIAs?) which can be used to prevent lump sum payouts. Which annuity companies have that feature? Will that same company commence paying my bene for the duration of their life without trustee fees? What other arrangement can accomplish this goal?
