Bright Start 529 plan

In 2013 you had advised not to invest in Illinois 529 plan due to irrresponsible manager.
Is it ok now to invest?

Here’s a link to a column I posted about Bright Start just a few weeks ago. They have indeed “cleaned up their act” — and when you consider their costs, performance and the Illinois tax deduction, I think you can go ahead an invest with confidence. Just remember, that when you are invested in stocks and the market goes down, you will (hopefully temporarily) lose money in these accounts.
