Cd rates

By Terry Savage on November 29, 2014 | Chicken Money

I live in the s:w side of Chicago . Could you provide a savings institution with the best cd or money market rates.
Thank you and have a Happy Thanksgiving

Terry Says:  Go to www.Bankrate.com and search under CDs in the Chicago area. But these days it hardly pays to switch.  If you lose even on e week’s interest while making the switch, at today’s low rates, it could make all the difference between a better deal and a worse deal.   Don’t get tempted by higher rates on uninsured products, many of which are sold at banks.  Stick with FDIC insured CDs, maybe 1 year maximum maturity — and hope the Fed takes its hand off the scale and market rates go up a bit in the future.
