Morning Terry! I am in my 3rd year paying 115$ monthly.I am 2 mortgage payments behind Due to unexpected death if my dog and vet bills As well as hours cut at my job. Can they do anything to me ,my bank ? Thank you so very much for your insight.

First, my condolences on the loss of your dog. I would have spent the money, too! Yes, being behind on your mortgage will truly destroy your credit. Before the situation gets worse call the National Foundation for Credit Counseling at 800-388-2227. You can trust them and it is usually a free or very low cost service you’ll be connected to the nearest local member agency. Please don’t procrastinate as time will only make this worse.
