credit card refusal
I recently applied for a credit card that offered 0% interest and 0% balance transfers for 18 months. I received the card but did not get 0% for either. I called them and thus far have not heard back. I told them I would not activate the card without the 0% as that is why I applied. What do I do as I do not need this card for any other reason and keeping this or refusing it can or may negatively impact my credit or prevent me from applying for another 0% card.

That’s an interesting question. First, how do you know the card does not carry a ZERO rate? Did you talk to them?
What company was this? They should not send you an unsolicited card, but you’re correct that you should not activate it.
Check one of the credit bureaus at www.AnnualCreditReport.com and read your report. If the card is listed there, send a registered letter to the card company and demand the account be closed. Copy to the credit bureau.
It’s not an issue with your credit score as much as having an open card that you did not ask for and will not use.
