Ask Terry Questions Credit cards

Credit cards

By Terry Savage on November 04, 2023 | Credit/Debt

I have been taking advantage of no interest credit card transfer balance. I have been paying my credit cards off with zero interest this way. My question is once that 12-21 month period is over. Should I cancel those credit cards that I have used short term to pay off higher interest credit cards?

Terry Says

You don’t want too many cards open. So check the current interest rates on all your cards, definitely keep your oldest one, and then cancel the ones you don’t need. You don’t want to get in trouble again! Congratulations on paying off those balances during the zero interest grace period. Most people don’t do that!
