Credit Cards for Seniors

By Terry Savage on August 27, 2024 | Credit/Debt

I have no debt and am a senior- I do however need a credit card just in case. What is the best one to get with no annual fee?

Terry Says

Yes, you should have at least one credit card. How else can you order online, or make reservations, or a million other uses for instant payment?!

But if you get turned down for one of these cards because you don’t have a credit history — and that’s a definite possibility– then you should get a “secured card.” You put a deposit into the card-issuing bank, the money earns interest, and it becomes your “line of credit” with a regular Visa card they issue. Use that card and pay it off in full every time, and you will soon build a credit history. To learn more about Secured Cards, use this link: https://www.creditcards.com/best-credit-cards/
