Credit report – dark web
I got a message from creditwise that my email was found on the dark web & that there was a change in my credit sore, so when I check it it went down 97 points. Who can I find out why? All my account as paid on time.

That’s a sales pitch — and a scary one! Did you check your credit SCORE with CreditKarma.com. That’s the place to go to get an accurate report. It’s easy and you can get it instantly online.
Then you should also get a copy of your actual credit report. Get it from www.AnnualCreditReport.com. It will be free! You don’t have to sign up for credit monitoring services. You can chose a report from one of the three major credit bureaus, since they should all be about the same.
If you find something odd, then spring into action. Contact the credit bureau — and each of the other bureaus to put a fraud alert on your credit report if someone has opened an account you don’t recognize. Then you’ll have to freeze your credit report so no one can open new accounts.
But don’t panic. First things first. Start with your credit score and then your credit report. Please write back if something is amiss.
