Debt collectors after me, I’m a senior
I’m on social security and have tried paying off my credit cards. Unfortunately there is one debt that was sent to debt collector. I make a payment—-very small payment every month. Is there anything I can do or tell this debt collector that they will write off this debt.

Probably, since your credit is already ruined. Tell them you are a senior and cannot pay. They cannot force you to do so. You don’t have to resort to bankruptcy to stop paying. And laws protect you from being harassed. They will give up if you tell them you absolutely cannot pay. If it isn’t a huge amount, they likely won’t go any further to sue you.
