EE Series Savings Bond
I have Series EE $100 savings bonds that have matured. Is this a good time to cash them in, or are there other options? They are 1993 up to and including 1996.

You should cash them in in the year they mature. The “gains” will be added to your Federal (but not state) income tax. Take a look at your tax bracket to make sure cashing all of them doesn’t move you into a higher tax bracket (and possibly impact Medicare premiums if you are onMedicare). In that case, you might cash some of them in the following year and hope the IRS is so messed up it doesn’t catch the fact that you are a year late!
