I am an old guy with a good credit rating. Several months ago I checked my rating with the above and it wa s good. Since then I have received an e mail everyday from Expirian telling me about different benefits. I never open them. Is this legit?..or should I do something…..thanks

I’m not sure you connected directly with Experian — or some other website encouraging you to check your credit SCORE. Now they are marketing to you. Credit bureaus give out credit reports on a very secure basis. But they typically do not give you your credit score — which is created by third parties.
If you’re not applying for new credit in the near future, I always suggest you FREEZE your credit at all three bureaus. Read this article for directions.
You can always get your credit SCORE from your bank or by signing up securely at www.CreditKarma.com.
