I thought I heard you say something about freezing ur fico on the news a few days ago. Why would you do this and what does it protect you from?

Your FICO score (stands for Fair Isaac Company, which created the formula) is something you have no control over. It’s compiled from information reported to the credit bureaus by companies who do business with you.
But you can freeze your credit report — keep fraudsters from gaining access to it to open new credit in your name.
